Tokai Teio isthe co-protagonist for the second season of Umamusume: Pretty Derby. She is a student at Tracen Academy.

Teio is a lively umamusume who highly admires Symboli Rudolf and aims for the Japanese Triple Crown.

In the anime, she initially aims to join Team Rigil and hangs out with Team Spica as a non-member. After several events with the team, she reconsidered and joined Team Spica instead. Season 2, which focuses more heavily on Teio, follows the events of her career as she's forced to contend with repeated injuries that impact her ability to race and her dream to follow in the footsteps of her idol, Symboli Rudolf.

A bright, bubbly Umamusume with a natural knack for racing. She's long looked up to the student council president, Symboli Rudolf, and this admiration serves as her ultimate motivation in becoming the number one racer. Fans can't get enough of Teio's boundless confidence, and have lovingly dubbed her upbeat march the "Teio Step."

Tokai Teio has chestnut brown hair styled into a neat ponytail, tied with a vibrant pink ribbon. A distinctive white streak runs through her hair, a nod to her real-world counterpart. Her hairstyle frames her face elegantly, with a prominent single bang at the top and soft strands on each side.
