Ariel is the current king of the demons. She is usually lenient and carefree, shoving her work onto her secretary, Balto. According to Balto, she is the strongest being in the world, excluding the gods.
[Spoiler] Ariel is the "Oldest Divine Beast," and the holder of the title Ruler of Gluttony. She was originally very serious, resembling Gyuriedistodiez. After her soul was merged with Kumoko's, she became much more relaxed and nonchalant. [/Spoiler]
